I find body active great, about a year ago about 6 months post baby I started the Mom and baby class, it was great mainly for childcare, then I did the fat loss project, found this great with a mixture of weight loss and exercise, that all gave me the confidence to go to the main classes, since lock down I’ve been doing the online classes for convenience mainly, what can I say, before I found the classes daunting but now I don’t. Thank you BodyActive and by god you get some work out.

I’ve been a member of Bodyactive for a few years now. I’ve loved attending the classes, particularly as there are many classes and times to choose from. I’ve never felt bored as the classes are constantly varied. Bodyactive moved online in line with Covid-19 protocols. This has been a fantastic resource for me and many others. I can complete the workouts at home and keep up my fitness. I look forward to each class and how good I feel afterwards.

My experience with BodyActive is and was brilliant for getting back on track with my fitness, at the start of the year; I needed a change of lifestyle and needed help. I reached out and did the weight loss programme which was personal training as well as class training sessions. Great variety from cardio to spinning to strength. i met with Jonathan and we set out realistic goals for my weight loss through constant support and encouragement, I lost over 3 stone so I got to where I was fit enough to run a half marathon. Which was a big achievement from my starting fitness. Even with the pandemic BodyActive built an online support group with classes and advice. I would recommend it to anyone. Goals are achievable, it takes time and perseverance but with Jonathan and Sharon’s fitness classes it is possible! Constant journey with fitness with classes very enjoyable!

I joined BodyActive last autumn with the aim of getting fitter and lose some weight, both of which I achieved. I loved the variety of classes and the encouragement given by both Jonathan and Sharon. There was little chance of getting bored of the classes as they kept changing the routines.
Along came lockdown and we could no longer attend classes in the gym. BodyActive very kindly put live workouts online for several weeks FOR FREE. Personally speaking, these workouts became an important part of my routine and allowed me to maintain my level of fitness, but more importantly, they helped my mental well-being. There were days when it was hard to be positive about the new situation in the world and it would have been very easy to get down. However, I found by making myself do the workouts and sharing things with other BodyActive members that I didn’t lose heart. It felt as if we were there for each other even though a lot of us had never met each other!
I have continued doing the workouts online as it is easy to work them in around work and my family. I would highly recommend BodyActive to anyone who wants to get fitter and have some fun! All levels are made to feel welcome. Not only do they provide workouts in the gym and online, they also give nutritional talks and share healthy recipes. When I am in the gym I feel safe there as there is a great flow of air through the building, there is Perspex to protect us and regular sanitisation of the equipment takes place.

After having my first baby the thought of returning to the gym was intimidating, however, I had the complete opposite experience. BodyActive provided me with a personalised exercise regime tailored to my needs. BodyActive also provided the opportunity to go to mom and baby classes; this was extremely beneficial, both physically and mentally. I got to bring my son with me, meet other parents, exercise and most importantly have fun. BodyActive’s social media always makes me feel part of the team and encourages me to stay active!

My success story begins with tipping the scales at 15.5 stone & size XXL tops. To present date tipping the scales at 13 stone & size LG tops, knowing that I knew I was unfit and overweight was the first step. Getting professional advice on proper exercises and diet from both Jonathan and Sharon @ Body Active was the second step, now I go on a random 85 kilometre cycle and a Body Active class in the evening. Body Active now a big part of my life and I’m eternally grateful for everything that they have done and continue to do so, not forgetting people who I have met on this journey as well and have become friends.
